Meet the Founder: The Story Behind Book Vendi
Hi, I’m Emma — a lifelong book lover who wanted to make it easier to grab a good read when life gets busy.
The idea for Book Vendi was born in a hospital waiting room. With a toddler on my hip and time to kill, I wished I could just grab a book—something fun, affordable, and instant.
A year later, during a family trip to Japan, I fell in love with the creativity of their vending machines. That spark turned into something bigger: what if we could combine the joy of a bookshop with the convenience of a vending machine?
And so, Book Vendi began.
We launched in Sydney with one simple mission:
